MATTO representatives met with Mr. Erdogan Sarac, President of the Movement for National Unity of the Turks -TMBH
13.02.2020, Macedonia-Turkey Chamber of Commerce – MATTO continues with meetings with political parties before the elections.
The President of MATTO, Mr. Ajdovan Ademoski, Vice President, Ms. Buket Gerekci in the presence of the Economic Advisor at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Skopje, Mr. Gurkan Gezer met with representatives of the Turkish Movement for National Unity of Turks – TMBH, headed by the President of the party, Mr. Erdogan Sarac.
MATTO conveyed to TMBH the demands and problems faced by the members as well as the priorities for which the party expects to lobby the future government: to start the revision of the Free Trade Agreement between Macedonia and Turkey as soon as possible, in terms of its modernization and liberalization of agricultural and food products; to establish the Ministry of Tourism and to approach this sector as one of the strategic factors of the country’s development; to facilitate the procedures for issuing residence permits in the country, for foreigners, in order to attract foreign students to study at our higher education institutions as well as a more efficient procedure in issuing temporary residence permits to a qualified force; to obtain a subsidy for an International Balkan University, such as a subsidy for Stulov University in Tetovo; establishment of TIDZ in the Strumica-Gevgelija region, based on a private public partnership with Turkish investors; The government should establish a dialogue with the Turkish Exim Bank for the realization of the existing loan of US $ 400,000, approved for Macedonia.
Mr. Sarac introduced MATO representatives to the TMBH Election Program. He underlined the party’s plans for economic development if they come to government as a coalition. Mr. Sarac added that they as a party aim to protect Turkish capital.
