According to the previous data of the State Statistical Institute, the total value of goods exports from the Republic of North Macedonia in the January-July period of 2021 was 246 265 451 thousand USD, showing an increase of 34.5% compared to the same period of 2021. In the same period, the value of imported goods was 335 526 575 thousand US dollars, increasing by 33.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The scope of import in exports for the period January – July 2021 was 73.4%.

January-July 2021, Republic of North Macedonia – Total Foreign Trade with the Republic of Turkey was 409 108 thousand USD, showing an increase of 44.3% compared to the same period of 2020. Exports to the Republic of Turkey increased by 64.6% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 80 368 thousand US dollars. The total value of its imports is 328 740 thousand US dollars, showing an increase of 40.0%. Germany, England, Serbia, Greece, China, Bulgaria, Italy and Turkey. Turkey continues to be the 8th trade partner of the Republic of North Macedonia (K.M.C State Statistical Institute 07.09.2021).

Trade in products shows that the largest share of exports is catalysts for precious metals or their compounds, sets of ignition conductors and the like, vehicles, aircraft or ships, seat parts of subgroup 821.1, and carriers containing ferronickel. The most imported are unprocessed or powdered platinum and platinum alloys, petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (excluding crude), flat iron or alloy steel products, non-platinum or uncoated and other platinum group metals (raw or powdered) and their are alloys.

In the January-July 2021 period, the Republic of North Macedonia, Germany, England, Serbia, Greece and China were the most traded in terms of total foreign trade volume.

It is US$ 4 801 801 thousand and increased by 45.6% compared to the same period of the previous year. In the same period, the value of imported goods increased by 45.0% compared to the same period of the previous year and reached 6 541 093 thousand US dollars. The trade deficit in the January-July 2021 period reached US$ 1 739 291 thousand.
